Event: Yes Awards
Date: 15 July 2011
Venue: Sydney Town Hall
Pax: 230
Brief:
To ‘humanise technology’ and to create a visual concept that combines nature with state-of-the-art technology.
Outcome:
Upon approaching the Sydney Town Hall, guests could see the façade of the building lit with coloured lighting, two skytrackers roaming the skies and a red carpet entrance. Walking up the red carpet, guests entered the building through a row of lush green plants and scattered autumn leaves. They arrived in the vestibule area where pre-dinner drinks and entertainment took place.
From there, guests were ushered up a small staircase into the main dining room via our custom designed stage. Arriving on stage was a surprise to everyone. They were met with a full view of the majestic room – Grand Organ at the far end, bare willow trees surrounding the room, and fallen autumn leaves throughout.
With a stage at each end of the room, awards and entertainment took place in various locations, creating an active and engaging environment.
Used mostly for award presentations and MC duties, the custom designed stage was projected onto directly from two Barco FLM HD 20s using Coolux Pandoras Box technology. This allowed for content layering and customised video displays.
The evening concluded with a showstopper performance. Using the organ as a backdrop, a tailor-made 3D presentation designed to highlight the company core values and award categories, was played in conjunction with an audio track produced and arranged by AV1, accompanied by a live performance from string band, ASTON.
