At AV1, we do everything possible to ensure reliability. One easy way to achieve this with technology, is to make sure that all battery powered pieces of equipment, such as microphones, are always stocked with fresh batteries. As a result however, we have an ever-growing collection of semi-used batteries (AA, AAA & 9V).

To compensate for this, we regularly donate a box of batteries to a charity organisation in Sydney. Last month, we chose Lifestart Co-operative.

Lifestart is a parent co-operative providing a family-centred approach to the needs of children with disabilities including Down syndrome, autism, global developmental delay and rare genetic disorders. Based on a concept of partnership between parents and professionals, Lifestart strives to help each child reach their fullest potential and to participate meaningfully in the community.
