This month, AV1 received international recognition on the Coolux Media Systems website.

Based in Germany, Coolux is an innovative vision company dedicated to thinking outside the box of traditional video playback technology.

With a goal to no longer have creativity in multimedia design be restricted by technical limitations, Coolux coined the vision of establishing a real-time 3D compositing and rendering system compatible with any kind of live production.

AV1 first used Coolux Pandora’s Box on the ‘Highlights of Macbeth’ production at the University of Sydney in 2009. The results impressed even the developers and the AV1 case study is now currently being showcased on their website.
